Betsson Champions ESG at NEXT:Valletta

Betsson Group champions ESG dialogue at NEXT Summit Valletta 2025 with dedicated Sustainability Hub

As sustainability continues to shape the future of iGaming, Betsson Group is proud to announce that it will once again co-host the Sustainability Hub at NEXT Summit: Valletta 2025. Taking place on 8 May at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, this dedicated track will bring together thought leaders, regulators, investors, and operators to explore how Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles are reshaping the gaming industry.

Now in its second consecutive year, the Sustainability Hub reflects Betsson’s continued commitment to raising the bar on ESG discussions within the sector. With sustainability deeply embedded in its strategy and operations, Betsson Group sees ESG not as a compliance exercise, but as a driver of long-term business value. The Group’s recognition through an AAA ESG rating from MSCI and its commitment to transparent reporting reinforce this strategic focus.

“At Betsson, we believe that sustainability and profitability go hand-in-hand. It’s not a tick-box exercise – it’s a business imperative that unlocks growth, strengthens trust, and reinforces our credibility as an operator and attractiveness as an investment,” said Jonna Danlund, Head of ESG at Betsson Group. “By hosting the Sustainability Hub, we are spotlighting how responsible gaming, compliance, workforce wellbeing, and community engagement are not only compatible with profitable growth – they are essential to achieving it.”

Last year, the Sustainability Hub at NEXT: Valletta was well received, with several industry experts attending the event.
