This commitment to player protection is underscored by our active participation in two key events this November: Safer Gambling Week 2024 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and European Safer Gambling Week 2024 across Europe.
Safer Gambling Week 2024 in the United Kingdom and Ireland
Taking place from 18th to 24th November, Safer Gambling Week is a collaborative, cross-industry initiative in the UK and Ireland, organised by the Betting and Gaming Council, Bacta, the Lotteries Council, and the Bingo Association.
Panel Discussion at EGR Global’s Safer Gambling Forum
Eduards will join a distinguished panel at the Safer Gambling Forum, hosted by EGR Global, to discuss responsible gaming initiatives across the industry in 2024. The panel, titled “Operator Best Practice – Safer Gambling Initiatives in 2024,” will take place on Tuesday, 19th November from 14:00 to 14:45 CET.
Eduards, along with other industry experts, will reflect on new programmes, initiatives, and successes in safer gambling over the past year, and share insights on future strategies aimed at elevating player protection. The session promises to offer valuable insights, with panellists including Pedro Romero (Safer Gambling Consultant), Tom Clover (Communications Manager, Glitnor Group), Taina Grech (Responsible Gambling QA Manager, Kindred Group), and Mia Nyland-Evers (Co-CEO, Omnigame).

European Safer Gambling Week 2024
Simultaneously, Betsson Group will also take part in European Safer Gambling Week 2024, organised by the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA). This week-long event, from 18th to 24th November, underscores the gaming industry’s collective responsibility to champion safer gambling. With events and awareness campaigns running across Europe, the initiative aims to foster collaboration, share best practices, and explore new strategies for enhancing player protection.
EGBA Webinar on Safer Gambling Tools
On Wednesday, 20th November, Eduards will also be part of a webinar organised by EGBA titled “Safer Gambling Tools: Innovations, Effectiveness, and Best Practices”. Scheduled for 11:00 to 12:00 CET, this session will highlight effective tools and practices to promote safer gaming. Eduards will join Simo Dragicevic (Founder, Game Safety Institute), Dr. Jonathan Parke (Director, Sophro), and Stacy Harper (Senior Customer Safety Strategy Manager, Flutter) in a discussion moderated by Dr. Maris Catania (RG Research Consultant, Kindred). The webinar will focus on the latest technological innovations in player safety and provide actionable insights for anyone interested in responsible gaming.
