Data Operations Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to oversee our operations team and ensure the seamless execution of day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong leadership skills, and have a proven ability to drive team performance while maintaining effective communication among stakeholders.
A taster of what you will be involved with:
- Establish and communicate clear operational standards and performance metrics.
- Monitor adherence to SLAs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation relevant to operations.
- Develop a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document to address common queries and streamline communication.
- Act as a liaison between data teams and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and information flow.
- Organize regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and updates on ongoing projects.
- Foster a culture of learning and professional development within the team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support individual skill development.
- Oversee the task backlog, ensuring that it remains prioritized and manageable.
- Coordinate task assignments and monitor progress, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Execute limited DO engineer responsibilities as needed, providing hands-on support where necessary.
- Collaborate with technical teams to solve operational challenges and improve processes.
You’re good with
- BA in Computer science
- Preferably 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing datasets.
- Experience with scripting languages to automate and streamline tasks.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and incident resolution methodologies.
- Reliability and strong accountability in managing data operations and supporting team objectives.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong attention to detail.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity.
