Project Management

The Project Management group at Betsson facilities the implementation of key business initiatives. A team of five expert Project Managers help the Group in driving and coordinating top priority activities and makes sure risks are identified and the impact on revenue is measured. This involves working with and coordinating multiple areas of the business, such as Legal, Compliance, Commercial, Marketing, Product, Operations and Finance.

Responsibilities

The Project Management team plays an important part in growing the business by implementing key strategic projects. Some of the main responsibilities for the team include:

Delivering the project on time and in line with business and market expectations
Managing resources, stakeholders and project teams all along the project life cycle
Defining and owning the communication strategy and coordinating processes between teams
Identifying and escalating risks as well as any changes to the project scope

PM in her Genes

Marta Meljon is a Project Manager at Betsson.

“My favourite part of the job is planning, since this is something that I enjoy very much also in my private life. I come from a family of Project Managers, my father and sister are also PMs, so I guess you can say it runs in my blood,” Marta states.

Marta explains that an average day at work for her consists of managing communication between stakeholders, creating project documentation and – a lot of planning.

To be a successful Project Manager, Marta says she thinks it’s crucial to have a people-friendly attitude.

“To be able to adapt and solve problems are some of my strengths if we look at so called soft skills. But of course, functional knowledge – such as scheduling and task management – is also very important.”
