You are expected to assist the Service Desk Manager with tasks and projects and may be required to take full ownership of such delegated responsibilities under supervision. • Assisting with troubleshooting and resolution of Incidents and Service Requests related to hardware configuration, software, application and network problems amongst others;

• Contributing to the setting up of operating procedures with other Service Teams to ensure that remote support is carried out by the Service Desk in an effective manner while maintaining the efficiency of the unit;
• Handling of all customer-related activities initiated in and from Service Management;
• Working according to defined processes in Service Management;
• Taking part in the continued development of the team and the infrastructure;
• Liaising with the various departments in Betsson Group;
• Managing hardware logistics, including the delivery and collection of equipment to and from employees;

As a Senior Technical Product Owner, you’ll be a key driver in evolving Betsson’s Sportsbook – focusing on scalable, data-driven, and resilient technology that powers our offering.

Requirements 

• 3+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in agile environments. 

• Strong technical understanding — able to converse confidently about system architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and deployment processes. 

• In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end Sportsbook flow: hierarchy creation → pricing → → resulting. 

• 3+ years’ experience with JIRA, Confluence or similar tools 

• Experience working directly with development teams to define and deliver robust product features. 

• Able to handle BAU flows without losing the product focus. 

• Strong understanding of data quality, automation, and content integrity within large-scale systems. 

• Proven ability to work across distributed teams and multiple stakeholders (product, trading, tech, commercial). 

• Engineering, Computer Science, or quantitative degree preferred. 

• Product and/or project management certification(s) are an advantage.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with GitHub Actions and Octopus; strong focus on deployment automation, speed, reliability, and test coverage. Ability to guide developers and foster ownership of CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency with Prometheus/Grafana; capable of building dashboards, improving alerting, and integrating monitoring into CI/CD. Understanding of observability practices including tracing, logging, and metrics correlation.
• Experience with custom-built NGINX setups; able to extend routing rules to support increased traffic and complex routing needs.
• Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, ALB, VPC, EKS); experience managing infrastructure using Terraform and modules.
• Proven experience setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters, ideally with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE.

The Wow

This role will contribute in designing and developing our platform to fulfil the business needs and to also improve our systems. Within this capacity you will have the chance to design new data pipelines, maintain platforms hosted on data streams for batch and real-time loading and real-time visualisations.

A taster of what you will be involved with: 

• Maintaining and evolving our existing data platform;
• Building processes to ingest data from Kafka, APIs and Databases using AWS MSK Connect.
• Development and Maintenance of real-time data processing applications using frameworks like Spark Structured Streaming and Kafka Streams.
• Applying transformations to data streams;
• Being involved in data modelling following standards e.g. Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault;
• Ensuring data quality by verifying data consistency and accuracy;
• Keeping up to date on research and development of new technologies and techniques to enhance our data platform;
• Have an investigative mindset to be able to troubleshoot – thinking outside the box when it comes to troubleshooting problems and incident management;
• Full ownership on projects and tasks assigned together with being able to work within a Team;
• Able to document well processes and perform knowledge sharing sessions

What we are looking for

Must haves:

• Experience with modern cloud database technologies such as Snowflake;
• Experience with orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow;
• Experience with AWS Glue;
• Experience with Apache Iceberg;
• Experience with SQL, and Data Integration Tools
• Experience with any programming language like Python or Scala;
• Knowledge on AWS Services like S3/Lambda/API Gateways/DMS/RDS;
• Development experience in both Microsoft, and Linux/Cloud environments;
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

• Familiar with Data Warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques such as Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault;
• Familiar with AWS Services such as MSK and EMR;
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Time-series or Analytics Databases such as Elasticsearch;
• Familiar with data streaming using technologies such as Kafka;
• Familiar with software versioning tools like GIT;
• Familiar with infrastructure scripting like Terraform;
• Familiar with Data Monitoring and Visualisation tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, Cloudwatch;
• Scripting – Powershell, Unix Scripting;
• At least 2 years experience in Data Engineering;
• Excellent verbal and writing English communication skills;
• Good learning mindset;
• Able to set priorities and multitask

As a Tech Lead at Betsson Group, your primary responsibilities will be geared towards driving technical excellence in our products. You will serve as a bridge between the domain architect(s) and engineering teams, facilitating technical design, decisions and delivery. Being a technical expert, you will actively support our managers in building world class engineering teams. This is a hands-on role, where you will have frequent opportunities to research new technologies, lead technical investigations and develop POCs for new ideas, and will actively participate in key technical initiatives

Your main goal is ultimately to drive technical excellence in the domain – in particular towards improving stability, performance, code quality, and development efficiency. To this end, you will be expected to:

• Identify and champion technical improvements for consideration in the roadmap, ensuring the benefits are clear and understood.
• Work closely with architects to ensure that the architectural direction and standards are being communicated, aligned & implemented within the teams.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our business and products.
• Take the lead on technical design decisions, whilst ensuring alignment with the domain architect(s).
• Take an active, hands-on role with important technical initiatives and issues.
• Support new product development by producing POCs and/or documented technical designs.
• Research new technologies and assessing their potential application.
• Review major changes to ensure they are up to standard.
• Serve as a key technical point of contact for the domain, collaborating with product, architecture and engineering colleagues across the organisation.
• Help build our world class teams, thus participating in technical interviews and providing technical feedback on people, as well as coaching & mentoring engineers.

What we are looking for

• A strong technical background in software engineering for web applications.
• Highly knowledgeable and experienced with TypeScript / JavaScript and Web Markup (CSS3/HTML5).
• A deep understanding of Observable technologies (preference for RxJS).
• Highly experienced and comfortable working with large scale applications, including: SDK & FE components architecture, modularisation, efficient application bundling, unit testing, and integrating with backend APIs.
• Expertise in delivering highly performant web solutions on an international scale, with preference given to implementing SSR mechanisms and optimising content delivery with CDNs, caching, and other solutions surrounding front-end applications.
• Possess demonstrated working experience in defining and documenting technical solutions around front-end architecture and its integration with backend services.
• Ability to efficiently review PRs and provide constructive feedback.
• Experienced and passionate about coaching and mentoring people, preferably having done so in a similar role.
• Highly knowledgeable and experienced with modern agile software development practices, GIT based projects, and CI/CD.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge about web component frameworks (ex. StencilJS) is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Prior working experience with Angular 2+.
• Prior experience working with custom UI design system frameworks.
• A good understanding of front-end data tracking through Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager.
• Working experience with geographically distributed teams.
