Betsson Group has been awarded Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year at the SBC Awards Americas 2026, held yesterday in Miami.

The award recognises organisations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment and effectiveness in social responsibility initiatives. It honours projects, awareness campaigns, training programmes, and fundraising efforts focused on addressing gambling-related harm across the industry.
Betsson received the award for its responsible gaming campaign developed in collaboration with Boca Juniors, an initiative designed to address a growing social challenge in Argentina through education, awareness, and player protection.
Featuring football stars including Edinson Cavani, the campaign highlighted the importance of choosing licensed gaming operators and promoted the safeguards available on regulated platforms, such as age verification, secure payment methods, self-exclusion tools, and customer protection measures.

The initiative reflects Betsson Group’s long-standing commitment to responsible gaming and forms part of the company’s broader sustainability strategy, where player protection remains a core priority. This commitment is supported by a range of safer-gaming measures, including deposit limits, behavioural monitoring systems, self-exclusion mechanisms, and ongoing player education.
A key strength of the campaign is its integration into Betsson’s wider Responsible Gambling framework. By combining awareness, education, and operational safeguards, the initiative demonstrates a comprehensive approach to promoting safer play and protecting customers.
This campaign was also recognised with a Martín Fierro Award for Best Institutional Advert, one of Argentina’s most prestigious honours across television, radio, and digital media. This recognition underscores the campaign’s contribution to raising public awareness and encouraging responsible gaming practices.
