2025 has been another strong year for Betsson Group, with the company receiving 42 awards across a broad range of categories, markets, and disciplines. While the total number mirrors last year’s result, the real significance lies in the breadth of recognition, spanning almost every core function within the Group.
From product and technology to customer experience, responsible gaming, ESG, marketing, affiliates, leadership, and workplace culture, these awards collectively reflect a business performing consistently well across markets and teams. Above all, they recognise the 3,000 talented people across Betsson Group who continue to deliver high standards day in, day out, often behind the scenes.
Excellence Across Product and Operations
Betsson Group’s product and operational capabilities were recognised extensively throughout 2025, with awards covering sportsbook, casino, mobile, and proprietary technology development.
Key highlights include Gold recognition for In-House Product at the EGR Operator Awards, alongside multiple Casino Operator of the Year and Sports Betting Operator accolades across global and regional award programmes. Recognition at the European iGaming Awards for Most Innovative Operator and Best Online Casino Operator further underlines the Group’s continued investment in scalable, customer-focused product development.
Strong regional performance was also acknowledged across several key markets. Betsson and Betsafe were recognised at the Baltic and Scandinavian Gaming Awards for sportsbook and casino excellence in the Nordics and Baltics, while Betsson Group’s Italian operations received multiple honours at the Italian Gaming Awards, spanning marketing, mobile, ESG compliance, diversity and social engagement. Together, these wins reflect the effectiveness of Betsson’s decentralised operating model, where strong local expertise is supported by shared platforms and Group-wide capabilities.
ESG, Sustainability, and Responsible Gaming at the Core
One of the most defining themes across Betsson Group’s 2025 awards is the level of recognition linked to ESG, sustainability, and responsible gaming. Rather than being concentrated in a single area, these awards span governance, social responsibility, customer protection, workplace practices, and market compliance.
During the year, Betsson received Gold recognition for ESG Strategy at the EGR Operator Awards, alongside European ESG Initiative of the Year at the EGR Europe Awards and Best Sustainability Innovation (Operator) at the European iGaming Awards. These accolades reflect long-term efforts to embed ESG considerations into the Group’s strategy, operations, and decision-making.
Responsible gaming and social responsibility initiatives were also recognised across multiple markets. Betsson received the Safer Gambling Award at the International Gaming Awards and Social Responsibility of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards EMEA. In Italy, awards for ESG Compliance, Diversity & Inclusion, and Social Engagement further reinforced the importance of local execution aligned with Group standards.
A notable highlight in 2025 was the Martín Fierro Award in Argentina, recognising Betsson’s Responsible and Legal Gaming awareness campaign developed in partnership with Boca Juniors. Delivered fully in-house, the campaign demonstrated how locally led initiatives, supported by global frameworks, can drive meaningful impact in high-growth regulated markets.
Together, these awards reflect an ESG approach that is integrated across the organisation rather than treated as a standalone discipline.
Leadership, People, and Culture
Leadership and workplace culture continued to receive strong external recognition throughout 2025.
Individual honours included Outstanding Contribution to Gaming for Group CEO Jesper Svensson at the SiGMA Euro-Med Awards, and Compliance Officer of the Year for Corinne Valletta at the Global Regulatory Awards. These awards recognise long-term leadership, strong governance, and a commitment to doing business responsibly.
Betsson was also recognised as an employer of choice, receiving European Employer of the Year, Great Place to Work (Operator), and Top Employer Colombia distinctions. Awards from the Women in Gaming, Diversity Awards further highlighted Betsson’s commitment to inclusion, with recognition for the Group as a diverse place to work, as well as individual honours for affiliate leadership and emerging talent.
Marketing, Affiliates, and Brand Impact
Betsson’s marketing and affiliate operations were recognised across Europe and the Americas in 2025, reflecting creative execution, strong partnerships, and measurable commercial impact.
Awards included Marketing Campaign & Sponsorship of the Year (Gold) at the SBC Awards Americas, Marketing Innovation recognition at the Effie Awards Perú, and multiple Best Affiliate Programme awards at European and global ceremonies. These achievements highlight the close collaboration between central teams and local markets, and the ability to deliver relevant, responsible, and high-impact campaigns at scale.
A Collective Effort Behind the Recognition
While the awards themselves span many functions, markets, and disciplines, they also reflect a significant amount of cross-functional collaboration behind the scenes.
In particular, the consistent success across such a wide range of award programmes is supported by the work of the Communications Team at Betsson Group, who coordinate, shape, and manage award submissions in close partnership with local markets, product, compliance, HR, ESG, and commercial teams. Their role in translating complex initiatives, results, and stories into clear, credible submissions helps ensure Betsson’s work is represented accurately and consistently externally.
Looking Ahead
Winning 42 awards in 2025 is not about individual moments or isolated successes. It reflects a business that continues to deliver across markets and functions, supported by strong leadership, capable teams, and a shared commitment to quality, responsibility, and long-term value creation.
While external recognition is never the objective in itself, it remains a meaningful indicator of progress. As Betsson Group looks ahead, the focus remains on building sustainably, investing in people and technology, and continuing to raise standards across the industry.
