Betsson Greece hosted ‘Giving Voice to Courage’ at the Olympic Museum of Athens on 18 December, an initiative designed to drive open conversation on bullying and its wider social impact. The event forms part of Betsson’s ongoing commitment to support safer, more inclusive communities across the markets where the Group operates.

Hosted by well-known broadcaster and television host Grigoris Arnaoutoglou, the evening featured two discussion panels exploring different dimensions of the issue, from workplace behaviour to personal testimony. Two thematic panels explored different dimensions of the issue. The first, moderated by psychologist Stella Argyriou, examined “Women and Workplace Bullying”, providing clarity on what constitutes bullying, how to identify early signs, and how the phenomenon manifests across varied professional environments. Contributors from entertainment and sport shared personal experiences that underscored the importance of awareness and intervention.

The second panel centred on real-life stories, with participants offering candid accounts of their own encounters with bullying. The session closed with a contribution from 12-year-old Loukia, who shared her experience before performing for the audience.

Throughout the event, attendees also viewed video messages from Betsson-supported athletes, each reinforcing the need to recognise bullying, break silence, and support those affected.

In his remarks, Thanos Marinos, Managing Director of Betsson Greece, underlined the company’s approach to social impact. He noted that corporate responsibility at Betsson is rooted in genuine connection with local communities, reflected in the work of the Betsson Foundation in Sweden, Greece, and elsewhere. He emphasised that bullying is a shared societal challenge and that meaningful change requires awareness, dialogue, and collective action.

Giving Voice to Courage signals Betsson Greece’s commitment to keeping the conversation active and contributing to wider societal efforts to address bullying over time.
