Betsson has closed a deal with the Federação Gaúcha de Futebol, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, to sponsor the Gauchão 2022. In its 102nd edition of the competition, 12 clubs will play 72 games to compete for the title.

In addition to brand exposure reserved for sponsors, Betsson will be performing a series of activations, which will be announced throughout the season. The sponsorship is part of the company’s brand promotion in Brazil. “The fans from Rio Grande do Sul have a strong connection to soccer. We have already carried out some advertising campaigns in the region and we feel that being present in the tournament is a great opportunity to reach the most passionate of fans,” explains Andre Gelfi, managing partner of Betsson in Brazil.

“We’re honoured by this partnership. It is always important to have great brands associated with the Gaúcho Championship, which adds even more value to our state’s main competition,” says Luciano Hocsman, president of the Federação Gaúcha de Futebol.

Betsson has been present in Brazil since 2019 and has been investing in supporting soccer in the country since 2021. Last year, the company became the main sponsor of the Íbis Sport Club and earlier this year, it also became the main sponsor of Betsson 2022 Pernambucano.
