Betsson is announcing a new collaboration with OFI Crete F.C., marking Betsson’s first partnership with a Super League team. This significant milestone highlights Betsson’s commitment to expanding its sponsorship support within Greek football.

Through this partnership, Betsson aims to actively support OFI Crete F.C.’s initiatives focused on the development of football in Crete, promoting excellence and fair play both on and off the field.  

Thanos Marinos, Managing Director of Betsson Greece, emphasised: “We are excited to embark on this journey with OFI Crete F.C. As we’ve done in other sponsorships, our commitment goes beyond financial support; we aim to engage with the community and support the team in achieving their goals. This partnership represents a new chapter for Betsson in Greek football, and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration.”  

Since its start in Greece in 2021, Betsson has made significant sponsorships, such as the Rally Acropolis and the Cycling Tour of Greece, as well as in other sports, like AEK Betsson BC and, Aris BC. Betsson is also the sponsors of the Betsson Greek Cup for the next three years and the sponsorship with OFI Crete F.C. is its first sponsorship in the top football league. 

Michalis Bousis, President of OFI Crete F.C., added: “Securing a sponsorship with Betsson, an international brand, is a significant achievement and a great honour for our club. This three-year partnership is particularly meaningful as it coincides with our upcoming 100th anniversary celebration next year. Founded in 1925, OFI Crete F.C. is a historic football club based in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. The club competes in the Super League Greece and has a proud legacy, including winning the Greek Cup in the 1986-87 season. Known for its black and white colours and passionate fan base, OFI Crete plays its home matches at Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium.
