Betsson Group Affiliates (BGA) has supported a planting initiative at St Paul’s Catacombs in Rabat, held on 28 October in collaboration with Heritage Malta. The initiative reflects BGA’s commitment to environmental responsibility and supporting the local communities in which it operates.

As part of the initiative, BGA sponsored 60 plants and saplings, including a selection of trees, shrubs and aromatic plants suited to Malta’s Mediterranean climate.
The selection included cypress, Mediterranean buckthorn (Rhamnus alaternus), rosemary and lavender, alongside a variety of shrubs chosen to enhance the surrounding landscape and contribute to local biodiversity.

The initiative will help enrich the green spaces surrounding one of Malta’s important archaeological sites, bringing together environmental care and the preservation of cultural heritage.
Through its collaboration with Heritage Malta, Betsson Group Affiliates continues to support practical initiatives that benefit the local environment and community.

This initiative forms part of BGA’s wider commitment to corporate social responsibility, demonstrating how meaningful contributions at a local level can help protect and enhance Malta’s natural surroundings for future generations.
