Betsson, the Main Sponsor of the Betsson Greek Cup, together with the Hellenic Football Federation, launched the third consecutive Trophy Tourin in Larissa’s Central Square on 20-21 September. 

The event attracted hundreds of visitors who had the opportunity to take photos with the trophy, participate in interactive games, and enjoy a true celebration of football. Adding to the excitement, players from AEL FC joined the tour, receiving a warm welcome from fans and contributing to the festive atmosphere. 

Prominent representatives from the world of football and local government were also present, underlining the importance of the initiative. 

Dimitris Bouchlariotis, President of the Larissa Football Clubs Association, said: 

“The Betsson Greek Cup is the trophy of the most thrilling competition we have in the HFF, as it gives more teams, athletes, and fans the chance to dream of winning it. It’s a tournament that unites and inspires.” 

Athanasios Mamacos, Mayor of Larissa, commented: 

“The initiative by Betsson and the HFF is extremely important, and we are especially pleased to host the Betsson Greek Cup in Larissa. Our city has passionate football fans who embraced this event wholeheartedly. Thank you for choosing Larissa as the starting point of this special journey this year.”

Vangelis Moras, Head Coach of the Greece U19 National Team, added: 

“It is extremely important for the Cup to travel across many cities in Greece. Young people get the chance to connect with the trophy, feel the emotion it carries, and be inspired by it. It brings them closer to football and their dreams.” 

Thanos Marinos, Managing Director of Betsson Greece, emphasised: 

“For the past three years, Betsson has proudly been the Main Sponsor of the Betsson Greek Cup. Through the Trophy Tour, we bring football closer to fans across Greece with games, competitions, tickets, and of course, the trophy itself. Today in Larissa, we truly felt that connection with the fans.” 

Larissa was the first stop of this year’s Trophy Tour, which will continue in selected cities across Greece. The strong turnout highlighted the value of this initiative and reinforced its goal of bringing football closer to local communities.
