Betsson has officially received a local licence for the newly regulated Brazilian market, covering online casino and sports betting. The licence, which took effect on 25 February 2025, allows Betsson to offer its services in one of the world’s largest gaming markets, further strengthening the Group’s presence in Latin America.

Betsson has been active in the region for over a decade and holds licences in other key markets, including Argentina, Colombia, and Peru.

Commenting on this milestone for Brazil, Pontus Lindwall, President and CEO of Betsson AB, said, “We welcome the introduction of a local regulatory framework in Brazil and are pleased to have obtained a licence. This step aligns with our strategy to grow via geographical expansion, and we look forward to offering Brazilian customers a secure and high-quality gaming experience.”
